Booking your Arizona family Photo session
The process of chaos…
First off if you made it this far Welcome! I’m Tasha, family photographer serving families all over Arizona. I document life’s most fleeting moments through photo and video. I’m obsessed with human connection, love, natural interaction, family bonds, and authentic storytelling. My style is mostly candid - lifestyle with a splash of documentary. I love creating an environment for lasting memories to take place.
Fair warning… I get as emotionally invested in creating documented memories, as you will by receiving them.
I’m not your typical photographer, my patience with children are endless, I believe perfect doesn’t always mean perfect for everyone, and I typically operate better in chaos.
My clients often refer to me as the
“chaos coordinator”.
I say embrace the messy and chaos, these in between moments are what I live for…
I find inspiration for my photography in my own life; falling in love with my husband, my babies growing up, loosing loved ones, and personal growth. I’m inspired by the idea that time is always moving forward, and change is constant.
Photography is the way we get to revisit the moments in our life, that we want to hold on to….
Some of my favorite moments in life to capture:
The different stages of motherhood (pregnancy announcements, maternity, birth, breastfeeding sessions, and overall just #momlife)
Families (with new babies, small children, older children, fur babies and anything in between).
Extended family sessions ( Grandparents, adult children, adult siblings, aunts, uncles, and all the combinations).
Couples (engagements, anniversary sessions, adventure sessions, and intimate weddings)
Graduates (high school grads as well as college grads)

Once you reach out we can start the planning process…
I always send a questionnaire, to get to know you and how you want to be photographed and who you will be photographed with.
Then we get to the legal stuff,. I send a contract of service so we have an established document stating what I’m providing to you and what your receiving from me. This has all the info on who, what, where, when, turn around time for images and video, what you can and can’t do with the final product.
I then collect a non-refundable deposit to secure the date and time for your session. This means no one can book or have access to the time you have reserved with me. Your remaining balance is due 48 hours before your session begins.
Once all of the details are finalized we can plan wardrobe, location, and any shots that are “must haves”.
I always bring throw blankets for sitting shots, though if you have a prop or something you would like to incorporate… just let me know.
The majority of our communication with be thorough email, though I do prefer to text the day of so I can send exact location pins for meeting spots and where we will be shooting. Most of my locations are out in nature.
I work with families all over Arizona so there really is no location I can’t get to, though keep in mind there are a few locations in Arizona that are private or may require a photographer permit.
The session…
We meet at the location. I will give you a series of prompts for natural interaction or movement and begin photo & video. During every session I will do my best to accommodate the “must have shots” or any requests that may come up. I typically take wide landscape shots, portrait style shots, close ups, & detail shots. We might stay in one area or if your feeling adventurous we can move around the location for a variety of looks.
Most sessions take about an hour if everyone is cooperative and willing to participate. This gives me a sufficient amount of time to get everything I need to put a complete gallery and video together for you.
The after math…
All galleries and video are delivered within the three week window. I typically send gallery and video links through email, along with a zip file of the high resolution versions. Every single photo gets delivered both high resolution as well as social media size for online sharing. I also deliver every single photo in both color and black & white.
I hand edit every single image in Photoshop. So no worries on skin imperfections like pimples, bruises, or scratches…. I will retouch them all. I will also remove anything distracting in the background, for a more flawless look.
My color style for editing tends to lean towards rich & moody colors. I love to over deliver as well so don’t be surprised if your package was 90 images and I deliver closer to 100. This is because I want you to have all the beautiful moments.
