Am i the Arizona family Photographer for you???

If you like, perfectly posed photos with every hair in place, and like to tell your children to sit up and say cheese. Then the answer to this question is “No I am not the photographer for you”.

I’m the photographer that embraces the messy and finds beauty in the simple things. You can bet I will get down on your kiddos level, be a goofball and chase them around like a T-rex to get those fun candid moments out of them. I don’t like everything in place and chaos tends to be where I operate best. I personally love to deliver images with raw natural interaction, from those in between moments that most people forget about.

The way I accomplish this in my sessions is to give families prompts rather than poses.

It might be some thing silly like tell mom, your favorite cereal in a monster voice. Or show me how high you can jump. The reason I do this is because that’s when the unexpected facial expressions, the real reactions and personalities come out.

This is also true for those soulful, images.

For these I will have everyone snuggle, sway or even dance. I have parents focus on the details like playing with the tendrils of the smallest child’s hair or rocking the baby. For older kids I love having them resting their heads on their parents and really lean in to the cuddle.

It’s really all about being present as a family unit, enjoying the time together, and embracing the relationship and bonds you have built with your loved ones.
